Storage Bucket

Accessing list of Storage Buckets

1. Navigate to GCP.

2. Select the Storage Bucket tab from the top menu.

3. Select the relevant project you wish to view the Project dropdown.

4. The storage buckets for the selected project will now be displayed in a tabular format.

Viewing Access

To view the accounts and their access levels associated with a storage bucket, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to GCP.

2. Select the Storage Bucket tab from the top menu.

3. Select the relevant project you wish to view the Project dropdown.

4. Navigate to the Action column and click View Access.

5. On the View Access pop-up window, the following information will be displayed:

   1. Users

   2. Type

   3. Role

Adding accounts to a storage bucket

To add accounts or groups to a storage bucket, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to GCP.

2. Select the Storage Bucket tab from the top menu.

3. Select the relevant project you wish to view the Project dropdown.

4. Navigate to the Action column and click View Access.

5. On the View Access pop-up window, click the Request Access button.

6. On the Request Access window, the user will have the opportunity to add the following by selecting the relevant option:

   1. Group: To add a group:

      1. Select the group from the Select option

      2. Select the privilege level

   2. Service Account: To add a service account:

      1. Select the service account from the Select option

      2. Select the privilege level

   3. Email: This option will only raise an access request for the user. Here too, the user will need to select the privilege level.

1. Click Request. An approval request will be sent to the user's reporting manager.

   1. Once approved, the selected group, account or user will have access to the storage bucket with the selected permissions.

Creating a bucket

To create a new storage bucket, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to GCP.

2. Select the Storage Bucket tab from the top menu.

3. Select the relevant project you wish to view the Project dropdown.

4. Click the Create Bucket button.

5. On the Create Bucket pop-up, configure the following:

   1. Bucket Name: Self explanatory

   2. SVC: Enable this option to link and grant a service account write access to the storage bucket.

   3. Storage Type: Select the storage type to associate with the storage bucket.

1. Click Confirm.
